Uncle Leadfoot

So I have acquired this '96 Grand Marquis from my fathers estate. Not exactly what I was looking for in a sedan but after a few days of driving it I love this beast and it's going to stay in my fleet.

Of course I can't leave anything alone. So I begin with sway bars. Front is up from 1" to 1-1/4". Rear is up from 5/8" to 7/8". And "cop" shocks too. I have since learned that my KYB shocks aren't the best choice so it will get the Bilstiens on the next go around.

A couple new additions. Remote start system and an Auburn posi. Having a warm car to step into when your body is "down" from chemotherapy is very helpful. And pulling into 55mph traffic without a ramp, uphill, no longer involves excessive one tire fire.

Long time since my last update. Just finished the "Performance Improved" intake manifold swap thanks to http://www.blueovalchips.com/ . While the upper plenum was off I ported it. I have also broken, repaired, and reinforced the rear sway bar link mounts on the frame. Installed a universal 2.25 mandrel bent dual exhaust system with standard crossover from Flowmaster using Hooker Delta flows. Transmission cooler is awaiting fittings. Urethane front bushings are on the way.
